A Little Bit About Me
Hi, my name is Dennis Boyer. I have been writing software for over 24 years. I've written software for Mainframe, PC's and the Web.
I have experiences in multiple programming languages, mostly self taught, and still learning more.
I grew up on a farm & ranch raising cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, chickens and growing corn, wheat, soy beans, alfapha and milo.
The farm that I grew up on is in Nebraska and that is where the name Terrace Hill Farm comes from.
After graduating from High School I spent 6 years in the US Air Force.
I was stationed most of the time in Colorado Springs at Peterson Air Force Base and while there I married Rita and we had two girls,
who are now grown and both have 3 children of their own. After the Air Force we moved back to Nebraska and went back to farming.
I purchased a computer and a book on how to write programs. I decided that I enjoyed writing software and in 1987 we decide to
move back to Colorado, Loveland, Colorado this time, and I went to college to study Computer Programming.
While going to college I worked as a computer operator for Monfort Inc. After graduating from college I started programming for
Monfort Inc. I worked as a programmer for Monfort Inc. for 8 years at which time I went to work as a contractor for IBM.
After 4 months as a contractor I was asked to become an employee of IBM. I programmed for IBM for 15 years writting software
for mainframes and PC's. I retired from IBM in 2010. I am also part owner of North Colorado Data Storage, which is a data storage
business, and I have written all the software for this business and I take care of all the servers that the business has.
